Approached with just a logo, 3 brand colours and an idea to modernize their ever-growing vehicle fleet with a design that would create a cohesive and collective appearance across multiple vehicles.
CTS had too many vehicles to count, each with their own style and branding. While they all shared the same colours and the same logo, none of them looked like they belonged to the same group. There was no real theme, no identity.
Our rigid, sharp and angled designs where inspired by speed, the angles of the cranes and lines continuing from one vehicle to the next. While some vehicles were designed differently, this theme carried throughout.
When abnormal and large vehicles and machines are used on the roads, there are always safety measures in place. One of these common measures used is a prismatic material that reflects light, giving it a glowing effect and making vehicles and machines much more visible and easier to avoid. This same material is often used for street signs and works especially well at night.
We decided to take this a step further and ensure that the vehicles were not only seen, but they stood out. Trucks were painted and vechicles were wrapped in the electric CTS yellow. The decals were cut using engineer grade prismatic reflective vinyl and for the extra punch, were outlined in a soft satin matte black vinyl. Creating an iconic and truly memorable light up design.
